TECHNICAL RIDER:

The following is a complete listing of technical requirements for MUX to produce a "Live-PA" performance of suitable quality.  This document is hereafter referred to as the TECHNICAL RIDER.

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide access to a copy of this TECHNICAL RIDER to all persons involved with stage and sound for THE PERFORMANCE.

AUDIO REQUIREMENTS:

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide THE PERFORMER access to the fully-operational soundsystem and the undivided attention of the sound engineer for the purposes of soundcheck for a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes before THE PERFORMANCE, preferably before the public is admitted into the venue.

THE PERFORMER agrees to provide two (2)  ten (10)-meter [thirty (30) feet] balanced 1/4" TRS audio cables (left and right stereo), and THE PROMOTER will provide two (2) balanced connections to the main soundsystem, within reach of these cables.  If these cables are not long enough to reach, or if the connections are of a different format than balanced 1/4" TRS or balanced XLR female, THE PROMOTER is solely responsible for providing the appropriate connecting and/or adapting equipment to provide a balanced connection to the soundsystem.

SECURITY:

THE PROMOTER agrees to guarantee adequate security staff at all times to ensure the safety of THE PERFORMER's equipment and personal property, from the beginning of load-in to the completion of load-out.

If the stage area is within one (1) meter [three (3) feet] of the audience, THE PROMOTER agrees to provide at least one (1) member of the security staff within sight of THE PERFORMER at all times during THE PERFORMANCE.

STAGE:

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide a clear, stable stage area on which THE PERFORMER can setup his equipment.  This area must be at least two (2) meters wide by two (2) meters deep  [six (6) feet wide by six (6) feet deep], and must be facing the dancefloor with an unobstructed view of THE PERFORMER by the dancefloor audience.  Please note that this is a high-energy show in which THE PERFORMER will be moving constantly; with this in mind please ensure that any staging or risers are capable of supporting an eighty (80) kilogram [one hundred and eighty (180) pounds] performer jumping up and down vigorously.

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide a sturdy TABLE of minimum one (1) meter by two (2) meters [three (3) feet by six (6) feet] in size on which to setup THE PERFORMER's equipment.

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide a quality loudspeaker device (ie. Mackie SRM450 or equivalent bi-amplified monitor speaker), for exclusive use by THE PERFORMER as an audio monitoring device during the performance.  This monitor must be no more than three (3) meters [ten (10) feet] away from THE PERFORMER, and the volume must be adjustable by THE PERFORMER independently of the main soundsystem.

THE PROMOTER agrees to provide two (2) 110v standard AC electrical outlets, on a single, unloaded, minimum fifteen amp (15A) circuit,  within a three (3) meter [ten (10) feet] range of THE PERFORMER's equipment.  Under no circumstances may this electrical circuit be used by any item or equipment other than that of THE PERFORMER.

PERFORMANCE:

THE PROMOTER agrees that THE PERFORMANCE shall not be interrupted, except in case of emergency, by announcements, MC's, vocalists, DJ's, other musicians, or any other source of audio not specifically authorized by THE PERFORMER prior to THE PERFORMANCE.

THE PROMOTER agrees that THE PERFORMER will not be required to begin THE PERFORMANCE by "mixing in" to a previous performer or DJ, and will not be required to allow another performer or DJ to "mix in" to the end of THE PERFORMANCE.

FORFEITURE:

THE PROMOTER agrees that a significant breach of the conditions specified in this TECHNICAL RIDER shall be deemed a forfeiture of this agreement, and may, at the discretion of THE PERFORMER, result in a postponement, cancellation, or stoppage of THE PERFORMANCE.

SAFETY:

If at any point during the setup or performance, any safety hazard real or perceived shall be identified by THE PERFORMER, THE PERFORMER may at his sole discretion pause, postpone or cancel THE PERFORMANCE until such time as the hazard has been resolved to the satisfaction in good faith of THE PERFORMER.  These hazards shall include, but in no way be limited to, issues related to the setup of the staging, audio, lighting or electrical systems, or any issue related to the security and safety of THE PERFORMER, his equipment, or the audience.
